Pagan Fiction Writings And Movies

By Jody Leach

Paganism can be defined in so many ways depending on the point of view. According to Christians, a pagan is anyone that is not a believer. Any individual that does not believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, holy trinity and God the almighty is a pagan. However a more open minded view defines paganism as any religion that does not have origins from Abraham. This brings us to pagan fiction literature and movies.

Any person that subscribes to the classical ways of the world can be referred to as a pagan. Even the people that do not adhere fully to their religious ways can be classified as pagans generally. This widens the group profoundly. The actual paganism community has a number of beliefs of its own and these are basically from way back in history. They originate from pre modern Europe.

Recently another distinguished group of pagans has come up. These new breeds are known as the neo-pagans. They are a blend of the old cultures of paganism and an integration of modern day cultures and beliefs. This group comprises of elite of the world who have put so much energy into the study of universe. They basically have very few similar ways with the old pagan ways.

The origin of the pagans can be traced way back to be beginning of Christianity itself. It was a time of confusion coercions and segregation. People identified each other according to religion. Unfortunately majority of Hebrew had not subscribed to any religious affiliation as yet. This made them vulnerable and hence was nicknamed the Hellenes. Hellene was a term that referred to people without faith at the time.

The fictional writings of these pagans have a lot to do with the pagans and their ways. This is their way of putting their cultures, norms, traditions and others into writing. This form of writing is basically based on imagination and ability for creativity. It is not informative like other religious writings known to man. It is usually fantasy writing from the mind of an imaginative person aimed at thrilling the readers.

Imaginations run wild and a lot of exotic ideas of gods and super humans came into existence. The fictional books were filled with such. The existence of magical powers and creatures form the basis of these books. Adventurous stories were told about these people and their quests. This is one of the aspects that make paganism a very interesting religion.

Due to the highly vivid nature of these stories and writings, movies were produced too. Here the imaginative power of these people was capitalized upon to create very entertaining movies that capture every ones interest. The movies produced here are merely fantasy based and fictional. Applicability has not been proven yet.

Therefore as much as people despise paganism as a religion, their cultures and traditions have been widely embraced. The works of this religion are enjoyed by so many people in the community at large. The movies created from their culture and beliefs are the most watched to date.
