"Are You Being Served?" was introduced back in the early 70's and people really took a liking to this unusual program. Each individual around enjoyed seeing the different colors that Mrs. Slocombe would wear her hair each week. This was an odd character who never failed to make every single person within the audience laugh. Molly Sugden was able to play this key person through the entire run of the series. She and the other cast members had such grace and style.
On the other hand Mrs. Bucket was one character that many people would run away from. Her neighbors were always sick and tired of her bad attitude and superiority complex. "Keeping Up Appearances" was indeed a stylish program which lasted quite a few years. Hyacinth's husband did not like his wife's behavior at all and during many of the episodes he tried to distance himself from her. Her sister Daisy loved Hyacinth very much and she was always trying to gain her approval.
CBS was very lucky to put on a show called "The Beverly Hillbillies" during the 1960's. Granny was a little old lady who enjoyed making moonshine and fighting with the banker's wife. Ellie Mae was a character straight out of Li'l Abner and she was indeed a blonde bombshell.
Granny had a grandson named Jethro and he was a pitiful creature. He was a big good looking man who did not display good common sense. Sometimes Jethro would get himself into the most dangerous situations and his uncle would have to save his life. The people living on an island during the 1960's also needed saving.
For three long years people had the pleasure of watching "Gilligan's Island." The show's creator was a talented man who also invented a program called "The Brady Bunch." The individuals living on this island could never truly be rescued since that would ruin the show. Ginger spent most of her time chasing after the handsome professor who lived on this deserted place.
Ralph Kramden was a good man who enjoyed his lovely wife and their friendly neighbors. Ralph was portrayed by the charismatic actor known as Jackie Gleason. "The Honeymooners" proved to be Jackie's biggest hit series and he really liked acting with the other cast members.
"Family Affair" was a heartwarming series which dealt with a bachelor uncle and three orphaned children. These four people also had a butler living with them who was from England. The English man was very uptight and he demanded that the children behave in a certain manner.
