Art Forms You Can Expect From An Illusion Exhibit

By Betty West

Art has come a long way and people nowadays appreciate them for they add fantasy which makes everything exciting. There are different types of illusions today, and it is fascinating what each one of them can do to people. With the illusion exhibit, you will get to understand more on the hyperrealism and how it is done. Below are some facts that you will learn about this kind of art.

In this form of art, an artist can create imitations of images from the original one. It is impossible for the common eye to know the difference between the original and counterfeit. This is the making of real imitation in such a manner that common people will not be able to distinguish actuality from Fancy (Umberto Eco). Such cases are seen when editors of various magazines use this technique to modify images of models so as to make them look more appealing. They use so by use of certain software. This is a very popular method normally used by the film and music industry.

One example can be seen in the Ron Muecks artwork which is a sculptor that knows how to bring this hyper-realism into more sense. Through his skills, he can modify any display together with creating jarring pictures. His work has also been showcased in most known museums in the world today, and his popularity cannot go unnoticed.

He has a known sculpture with the image of the baby which fascinates most people. The image of that baby is much bigger than the normal size thus creating the fantasy needed. With the dead father sculpture, one may believe that it is real for it has a corpse which appears to look real.

In the dead father sculpture, real hair was used to enhance hyperrealism. Apart from the image of the dead father, there are many other sculptures that use this technique. This includes; Wildman, mask and girl. They all have one thing in common; they create fantasies from the truth as it is usually supposed.

When thinking about illusion art, a story of a kingdom where a map was made with such detail that it was equal in size to the kingdom is a good illustration. Later the kingdom crumbled and the people had to live on the map. This example best explains the trend in the media where reality has been stretched so much that it is difficult to differentiate the real from the not.

The use of these arts can be compared with the media today where it is hard to distinguish between the truth and the lies told. It can also be seen in the film industry where actors and actress are expected to act to convince the audience that the story is real. Truth be told, many people appreciate the artwork for they want to see other fantasies in the world created today.

If you are a love of art and illusions, there are many museums you can visit to enjoy all the artwork available. In the museum, you will find art paintings, sculptures and much more.
